The Flip Video camera is fun.

Well, when we say fun, we really mean it’s fun not having to worry about your real video camera getting dropped at the beach or left at the ball game. Peace of mind is fun. I am not suggesting this video camera is low quality–because it’s not; the Flip is well made and serves it’s purpose well. There’s no wonder its taken off as quickly as it had. Priced in the low $100s, the Flip is easy to use, has solid-state memory and comes with software that makse it easy to offload and edit your movies.

I would not hesitate to buy this product for young children or to have as a grab-and-go camera for yourself. It has a flip out USB arm that allows you to plug it into a computer and dump your 2 Gigs of family picnic movies or the UFO shots you just captured. I’m not sure the flip out arm is easy to plug ito a desktop PC–as a lot of desktops have the USB ports in the rear.

The top models are priced at around $179.00 and the base model is going for around $129.00 at the time of this posting.
