Firefox 3 Due Out on June 17th

The long-awaited sequel to Firefox 1 is due out in just a few days (We’ll forget that whole Firefox 2 release). This release promises to be faster and have less memory leaks. There are improvements in security, as well. We’ve seen a trend of antivirus and spyware products marking certain sites that are known to have malware on them. Firefox will now do the same and notify users when they go to a site that is considered shady. It will also have the Parental Controls features that makes Internet Explore 7 so appealing in Vista.

So if you are a Firefox user, or if you were a Firefox user and moved back to IE, give Firefox another look on June 17th.
